What is Dramatica?

Dramatica is both a theory of story and a software product based on that theory. You can learn more about Dramatica — and read an online version of the Dramatica theory book — at the Dramatica Web site.

About the mail list archives

The archives contain over five years of messages posted by members of the Dramatica mail list. Along with the actual message archives, you will find other files, articles, and tidbits of interest to Dramatica users and fiction writers in general. The archives are created and maintained through volunteer effort.

This version of the archives site is under a new URL and a new process. I am working to get the list archives moved, but it's going to take time.

Joining the mail list

If you want to take part in the discussion, you need to join the mail list. Select the “Mail list” link in the navigation box (on the left) to find out how to join. (Or to change your current status on the list.)

Other stuff

• See my local home page to learn about the current “state of the archives.”
• The recommended books section is turned off until it gets updated to work with the newest Amazon stuff.
  
• The files section is also missing in action. I still have copies of the files, they just need to be moved back to the Web site.
